They're Back!!
We sat in The Old Nun's Head Waiting. The atmosphere was electric...
... and then they arrived!
There were lots of people, including several famous Nunheadonians...
The Nunhead Community Choir let rip...
...Locals indulged themselves...
(...we noticed a new fashion in Nunhead-themed bags...)
..and the ukeleleista started up again (and as we write, I suspect they haven't stopped).
So, all in all, I think we can safely say that Nunhead's Bounds have been well and truly Beaten.
They're Marching Now!
Today we at TANH try something new by the way of live action reportage. Lewis Schaffer and his intrepid band have just set off to beat the bounds of Nunhead (see previous). The Dulwich Ukelele band sang and they were off!
And we were there. These photos are only minutes old...
As the band of around a hundred beaters led off to shouts of Nunhead! Nunhead! leader Lewis Schaffer announced:-

The Flyer
So here is the flyer that Lewis and his band of willing helpers have been putting through letter boxes...
I won't deny this has surprised us - we thought we were the only people who ever leafleted our street - at least for noncommercial reasons.

Beating the Bounds of Nunhead
The great Lewis Schaffer tells us that he is organising "Nunhead Beats the Bounds" - on Sat 20 July 2pm to 4pm.
He's distributing flyers like billy-oh - do meet up with him in the Old Nun's Head, on Sat 13th at 1pm, to help him organise!

Mouse Over
Douglas Engelbart, inventor of the computer mouse amongst many things, has died.
A terrible device for controlling computer screens (I'm using one now), but the best we've found so far. Certainly a lot better than those (swearword) touchpads and touchscreens...

Farewell AltaVista
So, one of the first great search engines, an early pre-Google star, has finally been turned off. I remember when it was startling, amazing, to see how much it could find. But everything's Google now. Want to know how good it was? Well, you'll have to AltaVista it.
